This will update the post dates on ALL posts within the selected category/tag (or ALL posts in your wordpress blog if both are set to default). UNILORIN Cut off Mark 2018-2019 details; Following the scrapping out of post UTME by the federal government, the Joints Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) had given a benchmark of 180 and above for candidates applying for Universities, Polytechnics, Colleges of Education. UNILORIN Cut off Mark 2018-2019 and Departmental Cut off Point details; Every JAMB applicant that wants to apply to the University of Ilorin has to know the method of the admission to the said University will be different. Two factors that will be taken into consideration in order to determine the candidates:

  • The JAMB score

Keep in mind that the competition is quite high this year. In order to be admitted on merit, you should have a good score. Different universities have different JAMB cut off marks. For the University of Ilorin, you will need at least 180 to be accepted. 220 and above is considered a good score. However, some courses will put the score of 220 as their cut off mark. So you have a better chance if you get a high JAMB score!

  • The O level result

The O level result carries 50 marks. You need to remember that each grade has different marks. For example:

  • A may carry 8 marks;
  • B may carry 5 or 4 marks;
  • C may carry 2 marks.

As you can see, having too many C’s will be a significant disadvantage. On the other hand, with enough A’s you will get higher marks and have more chances to be accepted.

So the higher the better. You need to be way above the cut off mark to be on the safe side.

 The University of Ilorin does not really have a specific cut off mark for courses. However, candidates who have scored a minimum of one 180 in UME examination are eligible to apply for admission into any of their chosen courses.
